The world is at war... natural disasters ravage the planet. From Trinidad to Topeka, tofu-fuelled eco-warriors demonstrate for the rights of, this - our own sweet world - to inflate its air bag and survive. Meanwhile, in sunny California, it's another humdinger of an afternoon. Across the sidewalks of Tinseltown, tawdry studio execs and trim bubbly starlets busy their days, unaware of the terrible traumas brewing beneath their fancy feet. But that's all about to change...
"Honorable Mention" at Sundance Film Festival
Filmmaker - James Brett is an award-winning British director of music videos, commercials and short films.
Originally trained as an actor, it was success as a recording artist which led to James directing music videos for bands like Sleeper, REM/The Troggs and members of the Chemical Brothers. He followed this with a script based on the work of Charles Bukowski, which won him a place at the prestigious American Film Institute in Los Angeles. James's graduation short films, "Welcome" and "Deadtime", went on to garner much acclaim on the festival circuit, including Best Short at the Sidewalk and Rutgers Film Festivals. In demand as a commercials and television director, James was then hired by Roland Joffé to direct the cult TV show "MTV's Undressed".
James returned to London to set up MakeFilm - a feature film development and production company devoted to creative modern storytelling. He is currently developing his first feature, a modern vampire movie set in Ireland.
